Online storefront

Your booking page. On your website, open all hours.

Every Yardstick business gets a hosted storefront. Link to it from anywhere or embed it on your own site. Renters walk through a short, guided flow against your real availability, and you decide whether the result is a request you approve or a confirmed booking.

The storefront for the demo business Summit Equipment Rentals: a grid of equipment cards with category, day and week rates and an availability badge on each.

Walkthrough

From browsing to booked, in a few screens.

The flow is the same whether the storefront is on its hosted address or embedded in your own site.

  1. Pick equipment

The renter browses your public catalogue, with the photos, rates, deposit and pickup location from your equipment records, and sees when each unit is next available.

  2. Choose dates and times

Only genuinely available dates can be chosen. Your business hours, time slots and turnaround buffers all apply, and same-day rentals work when the calendar allows.

  3. Their details and pickup location

Name, phone and email, and which of your locations they'll collect from. Your pickup instructions show on their Manage Rental page afterwards.

  4. Damage waiver choice

If you offer a damage waiver, the renter chooses whether to take it. If you require it, it's included. If you don't offer one, this step isn't shown.

Your setting: offered, required or off.

  5. Review and submit

A clear summary of equipment, dates, times, contact details and the waiver choice before the renter submits.

Coming soon: card payment and deposit hold at this step.

  6. Request or booking

With request-to-book, the submission lands with your team for approval. With instant booking, it's confirmed on the spot and takes its place on the calendar.

    Your setting: request-to-book or instant.

  7. Manage Rental

Once confirmed, the renter gets one secure Manage Rental link by email to sign the agreement, verify identity if you require it, and see pickup details and status. How renter onboarding works.

A unit's page on the storefront: the mini excavator's photo, when it's next available, its day, week and month rates and deposit, a short description, the pickup yard, and a Rent this, choose dates button that opens the date picker.

Your settings

You set the rules. The storefront follows them.

Everything the renter sees comes from settings you control in Yardstick: which units are public, what they cost, when you're open, where pickup happens and whether a booking needs your approval.

  • Request-to-book or instant booking, switchable whenever you like
  • Damage waiver offered, required or off
  • Public or private per unit, with a public description
  • Your business hours, time slots and turnaround buffers
  • Multiple pickup locations for renters to choose from
  • Confirmation and Manage Rental link by email; new requests appear in your team's bookings list to approve

On your site

Hosted page, or embedded in yours.

Embed it

Drop the storefront into a page on your own website so renters never leave your brand. The booking page is the one part of Yardstick built to be embedded in another website.

Or link to it

Share the hosted address on social media, in emails or on a sign at the counter. It works on its own, no website needed.

Same calendar as your staff

The storefront can't offer a unit that's booked, blocked for downtime or inside a turnaround buffer, because it reads the same availability your team does.

Put your fleet online this week.

Add your equipment, set your hours and share the link or embed it on your site.
